Default Weapon of Quickening Rit

Alright, I know that this build is far from perfect, but here's my go at making a build around Weapon of Quickening.

Equiptment:
+15 while under a weapon spell armor
Headset +Superior Chanelling
Superior Communing Boots (yes, I use two superiors...)
Chanelling=16
Communing ~12
Spawning ~10

Channeled Strike
Essence Strike
Wielder's Strike
DESTRUCTION
Empowerment
Mighty was Vorizun
Weapon of Quickening
Flesh of my Flesh

Basically, with Weapon of Quickening you can constantly spam your 3 damaging spells over...and over...and over. Essence recharges enough so that the +9 energy pretty much keeps you fueled forever.
Maintain WoQ on yourself at all times to trigger the effect on your armor. Also keep Mighty was Vorizun active at all times. You'll thus have 90 armor, which is pretty tanky for a caster. You'll also have 60 energy to work with.

Start by casting: WoQ, MwV, Doom, WoQ ->Spam Skills. Recast as needed to maintain yourself. If you need to, cast empowerment for a little extra health and for some energy when doom dies. Doom, of course, will recharge in 10 seconds, so you shoudl never have problems having a spirit nearby.

This is designed for PvE, and has not been tested at *all* in PvP. Considering the "prep time" that it takes, I would guess this would make it extremely weak for anything outside of RA. Also, WoQ SCREAMS to be interrupted with a 2 second cast. On the upside, even if it *is* interrupted, your build remains functional, but is slower...meaning a ~33% reduction in your damage. It's bearable, really. also, WoQ should have a duration of 20+ seconds, and a recharge of 5, so at least it lasts a while....

Not bad at all. Good logic behind the build.

Though you have no hard heal, or anything like that, and with two sup. runes that might get a little dicey. If your gonna take this into PvP I'd kick flesh, for vital weapon (when where you getting attacked and need a quick boost) or Disenchantment (which is hellofa help in FA)

My problem was finding a decent heal for what I have, and there basically isn't one. I figure some of this problem is counteracted by having an armor of 90 at all times, which is a hefty amount of all-around damage reduction.

Vital would probably wor, but it'd override WoQ, which may end up being a problem for my damage output.

Also, empowerment is probably more flexible to take out than FomF. I noticed I was able to get along absolutely fine without empowerment, I just threw that in there as a filler ability since it matched the idea of the build. Empowerment thus could really be any spirit that's needed. I had even considered using a Res Spirit to kill 2 birds with one stone, thus freeing up another utility slot.

I'll try some more stuff and see what hapens. It'd be nice to have another rit on the same team using spirits/ restoration magic with Wielder's Boon.

I'll come along if your doing ab or pvp. I don't have a Roleplaying RT yet.

and like you said WoQ has a 5 second recharge. I 'm saying to use Vital weapon when you're close to dying and/or are running away from ppl, mobs or w/e.

One tiny-whiny question... WTF is up with [skill]Doom[/skill]? With 1 ritual... it's 30 lightning damage for 10 energy - surely there's better skills?

Maybe you meant some other skill?

Ahaha, I meant Destruction. I always mix the twos names up. >_>

But yeah, doom is not in the build, I'll go edit that.

When doing AB I switched out FomF for Spirit Rift and Destruction for Painful Bond (since I was with a communing Rit) and it worked wonders.

I'm looking into a spike between two rits and an ele or sin right now.

It would like something like Riftx2 -> Gale/Knockdown -> Channeled Strikex2, L.orb (second profession's spike skill) (rift hits at the same time now as the other skills).

I was also thinking 2 Rits and a Me/E with Gale. This would go...

Phantom Pain-> Rifts->Gale -> Shatter Dulusions just before Chanelled Strike and the rifts hit.

Just playing around with stuff. The build worked well with a BoA sin too.

ok then, that kinda confused me for a sec. BUT if you do go into pve with this then I would recommend getting a BiP and using [skill]Renewing Surge[/skill] with MwV.

Using a BiP to power the equivalent of flare spam seems kinda like a waste to me...

I got killed in RA yesterday by a Flare wielding mesmer. Though it was a sneak attack it still killed me eventually.

Renewing Surge is pathetic in most scenarios. I find it's only place in my AwS Chanelling BUild that I use to explore low-level zones since it's a cheap way to kill low level enemies quickly.

honestly, is doing 37 DPS to enemies later in the game worth it? If anything I'd jsut put in spirit rift since most enemies in PvE don't run from it.....

Yes, that one time you unluckily got killed in RA totally justifies it.
...no wait, it doesn't. Renewing surge in this build is bad for the flare reason, and the fact that it doesn't take advantage of Weapon of Quickening which is the focus of the build (according to the OP).

Let's keep this clean boys.

But yes, Renewing Surge doesn't add to this particular build. As I said, it has uses, just not here.
